CHAVEZ APPOINTED TO OHV COMMISSION–MARCH 20

Good News! Governor Grey Davis has named Mr. Robert Chavez to the OHV
Commission. Robert has a long time history in motorcycle racing, and in particular, enjoyed some time with Honda’s team many years ago. Robert is an attorney, as well as president/CEO of the Staubauch Company, one of the largest commerical real estate firms in the nation. His business is centered in Southern California. Dave Widell knows Robert personally, and says he is very bright, very fair, and understands the issues from both the perspective of the OHV community and environmental community. Robert shares most of Daphne’s (the only OHV person now on the Commission) outlook on the management of OHV recreation, and I believe represents another excellent choice by the Governor, thus filling out the Governors three OHV seats on the Commission.
