CARMICHAEL STAGED TO RACE IN THQ WORLD SXGP |
at SkyDome Three-Time Supercross Champ Makes Canadian Debut AURORA, III. (November 30, 2004) – Team Suzuki’s Ricky Carmichael stages his supercross comeback as he takes his Factory Suzuki to THQ World Supercross GP this Saturday, December 4 at Toronto’s SkyDome. Carmichael, 25, missed the entire 2003-2004 THQ World Supercross GP/THQ AMA Supercross Series with a knee injury. The injury put a halt to his three-straight THQ AMA Supercross Series championships. In pursuit of his first THQ World Supercross GP championship, Carmichael brings an impressive 33 250cc supercross main event wins to the starting gate. He’s second on the all-time supercross win list only to supercross legend Jeremy McGrath. ‘Since the Maxxis U.S. Open, I have really increased my training and riding to ensure that I am in top shape for the THQ World Supercross GP,’ said Carmichael. ‘This is going to be one heck of a season, and I am hungry to win my first THQ World Supercross GP championship.’ Impressive ticket sales are evidence that fans are excited about THQ World Supercross GP and the 25-year-old Floridian racing in Canada for the first time ever. Tickets are still available for this monumental race. |
