FARMINGDALE, N.J. (January 28, 2013) •li> Bel-Ray racers continued their successful 2013 Monster Energy Supercross series, with three top ten finishes on Saturday night. Millsaps extended his points lead to seven over Honda racer Trey Canard after a strong runner-up finish in the main event.
Following a convincing heat race victory, Millsaps started well in the main event. In third place just behind Justin Brayton, Millsaps made his move on the third lap and passed into second place. Millsaps rode consistent mistake free laps for the remainder of the race and recorded his third podium finish of the season.
Team RCH/ Bel-Ray racer Broc Tickle improved on his previous results with his first top ten of the season. Tickle’s eighth place finish keeps him in thirteenth in the series points standings.
In the 250 class event, Rockstar Energy Racing Suzuki team member Jason Anderson scored his best finish of the 2013 season. A strong third place finish vaulted him into fifth place in the series standing. Anderson’s teammate Ryan Sipes was forced to sit out this round due to a hand injury sustained in a first lap crash last week in Anaheim.
