BARNETT CLUTCH COMPONENTS: PRODUCT QUICK HITS

The crew at Barnett Clutches break down a few of their top-selling items heading into 2019.

Barnett billet clutch baskets: Barnett clutch baskets are CNC-machined from billet aluminum and feature patented, replaceable stainless steel inserts to prevent grooving of the basket where the clutch plate tabs make contact. Oil passage windows are also machined into the basket to increase oil flow to the clutch plates, resulting in cooler operating temperatures and a longer clutch life. Grade 8-quality fasteners are included, and the backing plate is also included where applicable. Select applications come with the center kicker gear already installed. These baskets are available for popular 80cc-and-up off-road motorcycles.       Price: $230–$259

Barnett billet clutch covers: The Barnett clutch covers for off-road motorcycles and ATVs are CNC-machined from aerospace-quality billet aluminum, then powdercoated with a textured black finish. To finish it off, the Barnett logo is applied in a machined-contrast cut. Torture tested in Baja, these covers are sure to provide added protection and great looks to any machine! Made in the USA.      Price: $190

Barnett upgrade clutch kit: Barnett has just introduced two new upgrade clutch kits for the 2017–’19 Honda CRF450R and RX. The standard direct-fit upgrade clutch kit includes a set of Barnett’s exclusive segmented-Kevlar friction plates, tempered steel plates and a set of shot-peened, heat-treated, chrome silicon springs. Also new to the lineup is the Extra Plate clutch kit, which includes eight Kevlar friction plates, seven tempered steel plates and a set of springs for maximum clutch capacity. Both kits are direct-fit upgrades that require no modifications for easy installation. Barnett clutch kits are designed for maximum oil flow, resulting in cooler operating temperatures and longer clutch life. These kits are made in-house in the USA.      Price: $183–$205
