Arizona WORCS Kickoff! Pro Qualifying…
Here’s a quick update from Speedworld in Arizona. Pro qualifying (two hot laps to determine gate pick) had the top guys hemming and hawing over whether to push it, or hold back and not show all of their cards.
Here’s who looks hot and some pics from the pits…more tomorrow morning.
Mike Brown set the pace being a full six seconds faster, which gives him first gate pic.
Taylor Robert aboard the VMS YZ450 looks really fast! He was in the top eight in qualifying.
Here’s how Valli Motorsports is dealing with the fuel tank issues on the YZ. According to insiders they ‘may’ be able to squeeze out 50-minutes.
Team Green has switched to Akrapovic exhausts and according to their manager power is up almost 4 hp and they’re way easier on the ears.
Ricky Dietrich looked strong clad in his new O’Neal gear. He signed a 3-year deal with the clothing company,
Bobby Bonds looks incredibly fit (under 180lb.!) and super fast on his Privateer Kawasaki.
The Bonds wagon: Maxxis/FMF/SSB throttle body/United Distributing and a host of others have come together to keep him racing.
Eli Tomac, one of the future stars of motocross (turning Pro soon) showed up and was in the top 7 in lap time speed.
Kurt Caselli looks poised to make an assault on the championship.
The new KTM’s have orange frames, use last year’s XC-F engine, the new frame along with WORKS WP suspension.
Team Green’s newest member is Justin Soule. His speed looks good.
This is Nathan Woods first big race on the Husaberg 450.
