BLAST FROM THE PAST: BROC GLOVER- 1978; A PHOTO MODEL FOR DIRT BIKE!

Broc Glover won all of his six titles (3-125, 3-500) including 45 career AMA National wins, his Trans-USA series in 1981 and his USGP 125 win, plus his two Motocross and Trophee des Nations racing for Yamaha. But in late 1977 Dirt Bike Magazine’s Editor Len Weed coaxed the 18-year old El Cajon racer and current 125 AMA National Motocross champion into riding a 1978 Husqvarna CR250 for photos. While this is done frequently in Europe (their star racers will help the Mags with photo shoots and shootouts) it is extremely rare for a U.S. factory rider, much less a current National Champion to ride another brand of machine for photos.  Check out the color photo, he’s wearing his Yellow Electro helmet, JT Yamaha leathers and Hi Point boots. Love it!
