AMA/ KENDA National Hare and Hound Series

AMA/ KENDA National Hare and Hound Series

Continues on to Round 4 in Idaho.

Round three of the AMA/Kenda National Hare and Hound Series brought with it some of the craziest weather that the NHHA has seen to Date, and with the Storm came a victory that will be one for the record books. Kendall Norman propelled his JCR Honda CRF450X to the top of the podium bringing home the first National Hare and Hound Victory in over 20 years!

‘I just felt really good today.’ Kendall described, ‘The bike worked great, and I was able to stay ahead of traffic. It has been a long time goal of mine to win a National Hare and Hound, and today under these conditions just makes me feel great!’
Norman, in fact, held enjoyed a Wire to Wire victory, and despite torrential rainfall which converted the entire desert to a mud back, still looked fresh as could be at the finish. Destry Abbott and David Pearson went back and forth throughout the entire race, and Abbott eventually was able to edge out the KTM of Pearson.

With the Win Kendall makes it three winners in three separate events and now moves into a tie for second overall in the points standings. As it has been in the past, the top 4 racers are within 9 points of each other, and a Win by any of the factory racers could mean a new points leader.

Sunday March 21st, the NHHA will return to Idaho for the first time in nearly 5 years as the eastern most round of the series is sure to feature some amazing racing. With highs in the low 60’s, and a looming chance of rain come Sunday afternoon, the 11 AM start has potential for another awesome race!

Located 5 miles west of the old mining town of Murphy, Idaho,  Dirt Inc. has prepared a 100 miles gauntlet that will allow the fastest desert racers to do battle on a course which is virtually 100 percent virgin terrain.

With other 5 water crossings expected to be as high as the seat on some bikes, loop two will put riders to the test in terrain that has seen little racing over the past 5 years. ‘We are really excited to come back here!’ Explained Ryan Sanders of the NHHA, ‘This event used to be one of the best on the schedule, and the addition to the 2010 schedule is one that the pros and amateurs alike will look forward to!’

Look for local star David Kamo of FMF/KTM Off Road to be a stand out as his skills in the Idaho desert will be unmatched by all. Sitting in fourth place in the points standings, Kamo look for his own town race to be a catapult to the top of the points chase.

Come check out the Pro Rider Poster signing from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday night at the Hampton Inn host hotel in Nampa, Id.  More information on the NHHA and its sponsors can be found at
