AMA/ KENDA National Hare and Hound Series: Round 3, King of the Desert!

With rounds one and two behind us, the National Hare and Hound Association and the AMA/Kenda National Hare and Hound Championship Series have set their sights on the infamous southern locale of El Centro, Ca.

In just 10 short days the big guns competing in this championship series will hit the dirt in the Deep South as the battle to become King Of the Desert Heats up. In previous years the Roadrunner Off-Road Racing ‘King of the Desert’ event has been the make or break weekend for all of the factory supported riders, and 2010 looks to be no different.

Factory FMF/KTM will be well represented as stars David Pearson and David Kamo return on their KTM 450 racing machines. With Kamo tied for the points lead and a chance at taking home his first AMA/NHHA Championship, anything could happen in El Centro as the 95 mile course will provide a platform for awesome racing.

With an equal showing of factory support, Monster Energy Kawasaki and Destry Abbott will be on hand to take their stake at being King of the Desert.  With 5 championships under his belt, it is only fitting that 2010 would be the 6th and another notch on the all time trophy wall of Desert Ace Destry Abbott.

Taking time out of his Baja Pre-Running schedule, JCR Racing’s Kendall Norman who is tied at 4th overall in series points with Jacob Argubright, plans to nab one last victory before returning to Baja to race the San Felipe 250. The Baja Veteran will head north to El Centro late Saturday night and then return immediately following the event to continue his effort for a Perfect Season in the Score Racing Series.

Perhaps the spoiler in the mix is none other than District 37 Fast Guy Jacob Argubright and his Privateer Kawasaki of Simi Valley KX450F. The 19 year old hopes to continue his streak of top 10 finishes in El Centro and possibly finish on the podium at Round Three.

Any of the Five front runners could take a win on each and every weekend, but only those in attendance will have a chance to see the racing first hand.  Join KENDA, the AMA, and the NHHA as they head south for the 29th Annual RoadRunner/ Threat Racing King of the Desert event.

The Banner Drops at 9:30 AM on Sunday March 7th, WILL YOU BE THERE?
