450 NATIONAL MX STANDINGS AFTER SPRING CREEK

Even with his subpar performance today at the eighth round of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship series, Eli Tomac is still pulling away in the 450 class title chase, now with a 38-point gap back to Marvin Musquin in second. It helped Tomac that both Musquin and Ken Roczen had difficult days of their own (Musquin going 3-7 and Roczen going 14-2), plus even his poor results were better than his championship rivals. Zach Osborne came back from his injury at Red Bud to finish the day second overall, despite now falling back to sixth in the standings. Tomac’s almost 40-point lead with four rounds to go gives him a little bit of breathing room on the final stretch of his third championship run, but those behind him are not totally out of it yet. Here’s how the rest of the 450 class sits after the 2019 Spring Creek National Motocross: (For extended coverage of the 2019 Spring Creek National MX, click here.)
