450 NATIONAL MX STANDINGS AFTER FLORIDA

After the last round at High Point in Pennsylvania, HRC Honda’s Ken Roczen and Monster Energy/Kawasaki’s Eli Tomac left tied in the 450 class points chase. Today, we saw them in Florida both sporting the red plate and trying to leave round five as the sole owner of it. A really good moto one for Roczen gave him hope in his attempts in taking home the red plate, but a tenth in moto two did him no favors. Eli Tomac almost didn’t have the best day either, starting the day off with a seventh in moto one. His dominant win in moto two saved his chances at the points lead, also giving him a six point gap on Roczen going into Southwick next weekend. Marvin Musquin’s 1-3 moto scores not only gave him the day’s overall, but also moved him up from fifth to third in the championship. Jason Anderson and Zach Osborne are still tied, but now for fourth instead of third. Here are the rest of the points standings after round five in Jacksonville, Florida:
