On this week’s Two-Stroke Tuesday we give you the first look at our 2019 Husqvarna TC85 complete rebuild project. For this 2019 Husqvarna TC85 we got huge amounts of help from Jay Clark, this machine had a tough life as a fast kids practice bike and then became a bit of problem child after that. After its days as a training mule were over it had been re-built a few times but wouldn’t stay running for very long so we wanted to make sure it was done correctly and as bullet-proof as possible. We got some help from some industry leading companies like ProX and Wiseco with Brad at Parapros turning the wrenches on the engine rebuild and master bike builder Jay Clark getting it all assembled.
This machine got a complete makeover using companies like Decal Works, Motoseat, Rekluse, Nacstar Wheels, Pro X, Wiseco, FMF, Dunlop, Lectron, Works Connection, UFO Plastics, San Diego Powder Coating, Schmidt Performance, ODI, Sano Metal Finishing, Cranks By Andrew Langston and Parapros.
Pro X makes a variety of parts used on this build. The drivetrain consist of Pro X sprockets, chain and Specbolt mounting hardware.
The brand new Mini Billetron by Lectron was used on this build with a Moto- Tassinari VForce intake. We came away impressed with both fitment and power production.
During the re-build we decided to upgrade to “Bigger Wheels” making it a Supermini project using a complete set of Nacstar blacked out wheels and Pro X components. Schmidt Performance set up the suspension for the larger big wheel size.
The FMF Fatty installed for some extra horsepower.
The classic FMF Shorty silencer!
Sano Metal Finishing cleaned up the engine and Parapros handled the internal rebuild using Wiseco parts and an Andrew Langston re-built crank.
Decal Works gave the bike a classic yet updated look with a semi-custom graphics kit mounting them on a complete set of all white plastics from MX Plastics.com.
