The women’s main event started off with a hole-shot from Kacy Martinez-Coy with Shelby Turner close behind. Turner passed for the lead on the first lap in the Matrix section; which was a very difficult obstacle with most of the field struggling to get through it. The two battled for a couple of laps until Martinez bobbled in the matrix again and Turner got by. Shelby took the win with Kacy just behind in second position. Allie Dorsey rounded out the Podium in third. Morgan Tanke who was on the podium in the previous round, had to sit out this race after sustaining a broken ankle in practice at Costa Mesa.

Shelby Turner
Shelby Turner“The track was a lot of fun, Had some good speed sections and had some really tricky stuff with that uphill matrix and rocks, Overall a great night and I can’t wait for round 4!”

Kacy Martinez
Kacy Martinez Coy– “The track was fast other than one lane where they had the matrix and rock hill. I never got a clean line through the matrix! Making line choices is tough in our class, you come up to an obstacle and half the field is down it’s hard to think quickly whats the next best line. I did feel I rode better then last weekend but still just need to minimize my mistakes and be more consistent every lap! We have 4 weeks off now so I’ll be focusing on doing long consistent motos!”

Allie Dorsey
Allie Dorsey“When you practice something enough you will become fluent in it. Falling down is part of the game, Its’s your choice to get back up and try harder or lay there and give up. Always strive to be the best. I thought the track flowed really well, it’s just that log matrix that got me every time.”
